1911 Mammoth Ivory Grips (4C)

Mammoth Ivory 1911 Full Size Grips these are the very best with light ivory color and excellent grain or figure also know as Schreger lines that are found in prehistoric and modern elephant ivory.  These were made from a tusk very well preserved for thousands of years. This excellent pair has a stabilized fracture on the panel on the right in the photo (the left panel on a gun), it has been stabilized like all our ivory grips is guaranteed for life against breakage, these grips are discounted because of this.  The glare at the tops are from the lights on the highly polished surface, the screws are the Swirls available for only $20 per set and we highly recommend Renaissance Wax to protect the shine. Available in Standard Butt Cut Only and no amby cut out available on this pair.

Made from genuine woolly mammoth/mastodon ivory from Alaska and Yukon (all legal to ship world wide with the exceptions of New York and New Jersey). This ivory is at least 10,000 years old and we use only the best quality to insure that they are as tough as modern elephant ivory but, with the magic that only extinct prehistoric furry elephant ivory has.

Non-structural fractures, fissures, watermarks and varying coloration are typical of mammoth ivory, just a part of their natural beauty and uniqueness.  Our ivory grips have been stabilized and are guaranteed against breakage for life!
