Steller's Sea Cow Rib Bone

Steller's Sea Cow Rib Bone pre 1772 from the extinct mammal. Excavated from ancient Yupik Eskimo villages Kukuluk (coo coo' look) and traditional hunting camp sites (dating up to 6,000 years old) on St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea. Steller's Sea Cow were “discovered” by Georg Steller in 1741 in the Bering Sea and were extinct by the 1770's.
